This is Endy. She is an Australian Shepherd/Pitbull mix, of all things! She will be 12 years old in '08.
I found her in a
horrible pet shop in Indiana (thus
her name, but with a letter twist). This pet shop was poorly kept, and
at the time, even had exotic animals such as baby tiger cubs that were
kept in small cube pens. Endy was in a wire cage,
with sharp edge wire flooring. She was being fed scraps of people
food versus dog food, which was covered in flies and maggots. She was
the cutest thing, and although I considered the thought that she might
be in bad shape health wise, I couldn't walk out of there without her.
I was quite pleased when I discovered that the horrible pet shop was
leveled to the ground several years ago after being "shut down".
Endy is the number
one farm dog! She is the
guardian and the herder. Thank goodness, the pitbull side of her
only comes out if there are unwanted vermin around. She is
beginning to feel her age and I'm searching for a young apprentice for
her to train.
