My name is Trish and I pitched my tent in Shelbyville, Kentucky after living all my life in the great city of Louisville. My dream of having a bit of country finally came true about 6 years ago. Critter lovin' has always been in my blood.  Unfortunately, due to severe allergies, animals were off limits for several years of my young childhood. However, once that restriction was lifted, I didn't hesitate to make up for lost time, much to the dismay of my mother and subdivision neighbors. Summers spent on my grandfather's dairy farm provided me many opportunities to bring home backyard dwellers. Among those included chickens, ducks, pigeons, dogs and the wayward box turtles found along the road on the way home. I had small plastic swimming pools, not for my own summer relief, but instead filled with bluegill, snapping turtles and crawfish. All through the years, animals have been my companions, in varying degrees. For 9 years, I was involved in raising and exhibiting mini-rex rabbits. I met so many wonderful people, along with several lifetime friends. But the real dream was horses. And a new journey for me has started.  I researched many years before I could even stoke the flames.
